Patience

Hindi man halata ngunit nagpapanic ako. I even had to lower my price and shorten the turn over delivery just to make the cut.

And it worked.

Elance, Odesk, Freelancer.com etc were my first ventures into online freelancing. Sadly, the "bidding" wars just really isn't for me. :,(

Honestly, you deserve better than $3.29 with the way you write. Nagulat lang kasi ako sa rate na inapplyan mo. pero okay lang yan, kasi nagsisimula pa naman, once you've established your reputation sa Elance, you can demand a rate that you believe you deserve. Welcome to the freelancing world! hehehe :) best of luck!

try checking out thefreelancepinoy, and also linkedin.

It's an audio transcription job so okay lang. :)

Thank you.

Tim:

You have an Odesk account? Okay ba dun?

Mistress Datu:

I always lose against the Indians and Pakistanis. Pero okay lang, it's the quality of work that will make the Pinoy's difference. Naks!

So where do you get your clients, Mistress?

Ay, sinabi mo pa with the Indo-Pakistanis! :-w

I guess fortunate lang ako na nakatsamba ako ng regular tutoring job with an American-based company outside these freelance sites. It comes once in a while though :(

PS: Tinuloy mo ba yung rinefer ko sayo? :D

I did ODesk once. Applied for writing job for a blog. After a trial write-up and too many grammatical errors, I gave up. I guess my blogging skills are not meant for me to earn. hehe.

Go for tagumpay. tagay!
