To Quote

KC Concepcion
The Buzz

They say it is for your own survival. Para hindi ka nag-iisa sa pagtanda. Yung iba naman, to mask your hidden preference, upang walang mag-hihinala na burat at tamod rin pala ang hanap mo. It's my stand, but rather than become someone's source of misery, I'd rather be out in the open, or better yet, suspend all my pretensions of opposite sexual attraction to cover up

the real me.

Disclaimer:

Doesn't apply to guys who found out their true preference too late. They got married and had kids before they realized same-sex attraction is okay.

Five years ago, half of the men who are out today are still hiding inside their closets.

Better stay with your comfort zone.

Martin said...

That's what really matters ang wala kang sinaktan o inapakang tao.

When KC Concepcion was still steadfastly standing by her man, as the song goes, I was among those who wanted to slap her upside her Palmolive-crowned head and shake her like a British nanny.

Watching that poignant interview, though, I, like you, felt really sorry for her. My heart went out to this silly, trusting girl who went out looking for "true love" and had her heart stepped upon.

Although I initially felt sorry for all the other women who are put through emotional wringers by confused/closeted/selfish gay/bi men, eventually I realized that I should feel sorry for anyone - male, female, gay, straight, or bi - who are used and deceived in the name of love.

Then again, I think that's part of the price we pay.

Poor KC. I wish she finds a man - a real man. As for Piolo - I wish his career a gracious good luck! With this break up, I think more people are starting to find out his real preference. Anyway, thanks for the post. Been wanting to hear what bloggers have to say about this issue.

Ang selfish no? But then people can be cruel at times that most of us would rather stay inside the closet albeit suffocating.

PJ is too good to be true

ang quotable quote ng sinabi ni KC.

Eon

Yeah. For those of us who are not yet out in our families, KC's case is reason enough not to force ourselves to pair with the opposite sex.

Bien:

PJ once hooked up with girls, I think, until such time he enjoyed hooking up with men, so much, he forgot what it feels like to be with a woman.

He did his best to make his heterosexual side surface with Kristina, but the problem is, he's been exposed in this kind of life too much, he can't go back to what he was anymore.

Dalaga pa lang ako, I've been hearing stories of PJ meeting up with guys - to talk, have an eyeball.

You're welcome. May mga tatamaan ako with this entry, pero ganun talaga eh. KC is an eye opener.

Spiral Prince:

Thank you. :)

Rudeboy:

It's the price we pay for trusting and loving someone. Too bad, Piolo's spiritual roots is not strong enough to hold back his primal urge.

While writing this entry, I was thinking of the girls I dated/loved before. At the back of my head, I'm still thankful that I didn't pursue them.

Who would have thought that after being confused for so long, I would finally find peace by accepting who I truly am.

Daniel:

Hmmmm.... I agree with you on that.

Tao rin ang mga babae noh. May feelings. 'Wag silang gamiting pang cover-up.

Basta ang masasabi ko lang... Papa P, baka meron ako nung wala kay KC.

Try natin.

but rather than become someone's source of misery

The same explanation I have to those asking kung bakit hindi ko pinili ang "tuwid" na daan and use marriage as a cover up.

Thank you for posting this. :)
